Friday tidbits

Happy Friday the 13th!
Not sure about you...but, it's my lucky day!!

Whole Foods had Sigg water bottles on sale today - buy one get one free!
That is a STEALING DEAL!!!  I had seen the sign yesterday when I was there getting a few groceries and made a mental note to be sure and go back this morning.
Bright and early I was there, getting my Siggs.  (not CIGGS, as those will kill you, make you smell, and give you ginormous unattractive wrinkles.  Steer clear!!)

Aren't they pretty??!!

Last night we had the first of our cow, Bertha.  She was sooooo delicious!  Of course I had to pull out and cook the filets first.  I mean really, why save them right?!  They were absolutely divine!  We paired them with some steamed cauliflower and watermelon with mint.  Talk about refreshing!  YUM!

One more thing to share, not exciting, but definitely worth noting.
I'm a laundry detergent fanatic.  It has to smell good and the scent has to last a long time!!!  I normally always go with Tide because it smells good and it cleans really well.  It HAS to be liquid though.  I NEVER use powder.  Every once in a while I'll go with Gain just because of the scent, however, it doesn't clean clothes for SH*T!!!  Especially the clothing of my little Messy Marvins.

Well, while I was away last month my husband had to buy some laundry detergent and knowing my fondness for Tide he got this Febreeze Sport kind and OMG!!!!!!  It is fantastic!!!!  It smells marvelous AND the freshness and smell last for a LONG TIME!!!!  While I was on my cross country road trip, every time I pulled a pc of clothing out of my bag the scent was heavenly!!  I can't gush about this detergent enough.
It's the little things in life I guess huh?!

LOL I'm the same way with fabric softener! I am extremely picky! I have two boys and a hubby that don't want to smell like...well, girls! the *only* fabric softener I have found that works for us is Seventh Generation: Blue Eucalyptus & lavender. It smells good, the scent stays for a long time and it doesn't smell too girly!

Oh I'll have to try that! I love the seventh generation dish soap. My husband is the only boy in the family so he's gonna smell like girls no matter what...lol
